Since 2013, Liselore has built LiLo Ceramics into a thriving business with outlets around the world. Liselore has put a lot of time and energy into this for 10 years but felt it was time to develop further. Liselore felt the need to explore her artistic and poetic side. The exhibition 'MA 間 Embrace the Space' was the starting point for freer work. Japanese art is a great inspiration for Liselore. As a hobby, she does Ikebana (Japanese floral art) and experiences a lot of overlap with how she handles her ceramics. The flow in the lines, the art of omission but also the mastery of manipulation. Also the poetic aspect of Japanese art and language is what brought her to the new Diffluence series. Here, her works merge into the environment and dialogue with the nature she loves so much. An earlier theme she worked with, "impermanence," fits seamlessly into the Wabi Sabi tradition. The application of found raw materials for her glazes is something she has experimented with before (Art installation disposability) and which she brings to this work. This gives her work a deeper layer because the glaze indirectly tells about Liselore's origin and living environment. 

Liselore the artist is carried by Liselore the craftswoman. Only through high technical skill is it possible to turn as thinly and move the clay as Liselore wants. There are no flukes or mistakes but a search for the perfect balance of movement. The same is true of the vases she makes for Hemisphere Signatures. The frayed openings are deliberately created because this imperfection gives more tension to the form. Like real life...
